Product Experience for Life Insurance App

The Project

UX Design and Development for an app that allows users to purchase short-term life insurance.
I worked on this project as an Experience Designer at ExpandTheRoom.

The Challenges

  • Tight timeline.

  • We were invited in later in the project and so were joining the team at a point when there was already a functioning, built prototype. The team recognized that key requirements had been missed, and it was our job to help uncover those things.

  • Key business decisions still uncertain and changing on a weekly basis.

My Role

On this project, I was in the role of Lead UX Designer and supported product strategy. My main responsibilities included:

  1. Requirements Documentation

  2. Flow Mapping

  3. UX Design

  4. Copy Requirements Documentation

  5. Functional Test Cases

Deliverables

In regards to the client experience, the client is extremely happy with our partnership and has acknowledged that our involvement has helped them to achieve goals that they otherwise would not have been able to achieve. Product launch imminent so I should know more by the beginning of next year!
